29" Sugar Kettle Basin,
Aluminum with Dark Bronze Patina Finish
During colonial times sugar was made by boiling sugar cane juice in huge cauldrons (sugar kettles) of graduating diameters; the largest 8 foot diameter and the smallest; “le batterie,” 29 inches in diameter. The small ones (36 and 29 inch) are very rare and much sought after. They make a nice pond for a small garden or courtyard. Cast in aluminum with bronze patina for ease of transport. You will enjoy this unique water feature in your garden immensely.
