Lion Head

This cast bronze replica of an 18th Century original lion head is fitted with copper pipe ready for connection to water supply tubing or simply as a wall decoration ready to hang with attached bronze bracket.
A Lion Head dates back to its use as sculptural decoration on the frieze of Greek temples. Removed through
the centuries as temples deteriorated they traditionally served as ornaments and water spouts
for courtyard gardens. A number of originals are preserved in a museum in Sicily.
