PRISCILLA SUSAN BURY is most famous for her renowned collection of watercolor paintings of AMARYLLIS and related lilies in the early 1800's.  Her fifty watercolors were illustrated in seventy-nine books published between 1831 and 1834.  The hand colored engravings are most important as they were done by ROBERT HAVELL in London at the time he was also engraving the illustrations for AUDUBON’S BIRDS OF AMERICA.
