Portrait of SOPHIA COFFIN circa early 1800's

Extraordinary HEIRLOOM painting of this child of BATH, England from the time of JANE AUSTEN’S romantic novels.  The story of her parent’s tragic romance and her separation from her mother, the Belle of Bath, and from her father, a British Admiral, makes her memory so poignant.  At the young age of 14 she fell ill and was taken to Sienna, Italy for its favorable climate where she died and was buried.
